Diesel cars can be more expensive by 2 lakh rupees

If the government plans heady prices of diesel cars would increase to Rs 2 lakh. Petroleum Ministry is considering diesel cars of the special tax. Official sources said Oil Minister Jaipal Reddy, Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee has sought to increase the excise duty on diesel cars.


 Reddy, Ministry of Finance is considering the suggestion. Petrol and diesel prices due to huge difference in people's trend towards diesel cars has grown rapidly. Diesel in May car sales skyrocketed 55 percent.


The data of diesel car sales reached 1.63 million. That 38 per cent over the same period last year. Increase excise duty on diesel cars, the car manufacturer is unhappy news. Car makers argue that expensive oil prices and interest rates due to the decline in new car sales. Maruti Suzuki managing director S Nakanishi said the market by looking at the changing environment, we have reduced the production of gasoline cars. Now if excise duty on diesel cars have increased more in the new car sales will plummet.
